Fihrex — Privacy Policy
Effective 9 October 2026
Fihrex is an iPhone app for cleaning up your contacts by swiping through them as cards. Your address book is one of the most personal lists on your phone; this policy explains what Fihrex does with it and what it does not do.
In short
Your contacts never leave your device. Nothing from your address book (names, numbers, email addresses, notes, tags) is sent to any server.
Fihrex has no server of its own, no account and no sign-in. It uses no analytics, no advertising and no crash reporting.
The app connects to only two places: Apple's StoreKit to process purchases, and RevenueCat's servers (api.revenuecat.com) to keep a record of them. Neither receives any contact data.
1. Access to your contacts
Fihrex reads your contacts through the iOS Contacts framework and asks for your permission first. If you decline, the app cannot work, and it does nothing else.
Contacts are read only to show them on screen and to carry out the decisions you make. Contact data is never sent off the device.
2. Deleting and the trash
Contacts you swipe left go to the To Delete box first. Nothing is deleted until you confirm.
When you delete contacts, Fihrex keeps a snapshot of them on your device so you can restore them: for 7 days on the free plan and 30 days with Pro. When that period ends, the snapshot is removed from the device.
Important: Fihrex deletes contacts from your device's own address book. If iCloud Contacts is turned on, the deletion also reaches your other devices, because they all show the same address book. That is why the trash exists; you can restore contacts before the period runs out.
3. Duplicate finder
Duplicates are found by comparing a normalized form of phone numbers. This happens entirely on your device; nothing is sent anywhere for the comparison.
Fihrex does not merge contacts. In each group of duplicates you choose the record to keep, and the others move to the To Delete box. Nothing is deleted until you confirm.
4. Tags
Tags are saved as your address book's own contact groups (CNGroup). They belong to your address book, not to Fihrex, and they stay if you delete the app.
5. Purchases
Fihrex Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Payment goes through Apple's StoreKit using your Apple Account.
Fihrex never sees or stores your card or payment details. Whether Pro is unlocked is decided on your device from Apple's StoreKit records, without asking any other server.
6. Purchase records: RevenueCat
Fihrex uses the RevenueCat SDK, provided by RevenueCat, Inc. (USA), to keep a record of in-app purchases for revenue reporting and refunds. Purchases still go through Apple; RevenueCat does not take payments and does not decide whether Pro is unlocked.
RevenueCat receives your purchase and transaction history (product, price, currency, date and App Store country), a randomly generated anonymous user ID, the app version, the iOS version and the device model. Like any server, it also sees the IP address of the connection.
This ID is not linked to your identity: there is no account, and your name, email address or phone number is never asked for or sent. RevenueCat is not used for advertising or to track you across apps, and the advertising identifier (IDFA) is not read.
Your contacts are never sent to RevenueCat or anywhere else.
RevenueCat's own privacy policy explains how it handles this data.
7. What Fihrex does not collect
No analytics, advertising networks, crash reporters or tracking SDKs. RevenueCat is the only third-party library in the app, and it is used only for purchase records.
No account, sign-in, email address or phone number. No access to location, photos, microphone or camera.
The only permission the app asks for is access to your contacts.
8. Device backups
Data Fihrex keeps on your device (trash snapshots and your preferences) may be included in your device backup. This is the standard backup iOS makes for every app and depends on your backup settings; Fihrex does not send a copy anywhere itself.
9. Children
Fihrex does not ask anyone, including children, for identifying information. Purchase records (section 6) are handled the same anonymous way for everyone.
10. Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the effective date above is updated. If Fihrex ever starts handling a new kind of data, this page changes first.
