About OBA Labs
OBA Labs is an independent software studio in Antalya, Türkiye. We make native apps for iPhone and Mac, small tools for the browser, and we take on a few client projects a year.
Who we are
Oğuz Berk Açar founded the studio in July 2026 after years of building web and mobile products for other companies. The team is small on purpose: the founder, a designer and developers who join per project.
We design and build every product ourselves, from the first sketch to the release build. There is no agency layer and nothing is outsourced.
What we make
Mac tools that live in the menu bar. borg hides menu bar icons and brings them back when you need them. SoftLock locks the Mac while long-running local agents keep working. MiddleRing is a radial window switcher. Beacon starts and watches project commands. WatcherBar monitors domains and API endpoints.
iPhone apps written in SwiftUI. Boody is a shared household budget without a bank link. Kupur turns a few short news items into a laid-out newspaper page. Fihrex cleans up contacts by swiping through cards. Home Needs Two and Kafes are in development.
Browser tools that need no install. OBA Converter converts HEIC, PDF and images in the browser. CryLater is a free stencil editor for tattoo artists.
Every product ships on its own domain under obalabs.app, and its privacy and support pages live on this site.
Client work
DOENERADO is a loyalty app, point of sale and admin panel for a döner restaurant in Duisburg, Germany. It has been on the App Store since October 2026.
Fiş AI turns receipt photos into expense reports for a client's finance team. Claude reads each receipt, checks the VAT and assigns the expense account. It is in closed beta with the client.
UK Pilates and UK Kosmetik Academy are the websites of two sister studios in Velbert, Germany.
How we build
We write and review code with Claude Code every day. Specs, tests and release notes go through it before anything ships.
When a product needs to read or write language, it calls Claude. Fiş AI is the first: it extracts the fields from a receipt photo, checks that net and VAT add up to the total, and picks the expense account. A German, Turkish and English in-app assistant for DOENERADO is next.
Products talk to a server only when they have to. Kupur makes no network calls at all, and each app's privacy page says exactly what leaves the device.
Timeline
